Founded in Doesburg, Holland in 1980, Neuroot are among the most revered names in European hardcore punk history. Called "the new ruler of hardcore madness" by Pushead in Thrasher Magazine in 1986, the band built their legacy on fast, relentless D-beat and politically charged anarcho-punk at its most uncompromising. Across four decades they have toured Asia, Australia, the US, and beyond, and their most recent album False Profit dropped in 2024. If Neuroot are coming to your city, you go.

Ultra raw Vancouver D-beat and noise punk. No frills, no filler, just pure punishment. Brutalize have carved out their place in the Vancouver underground with a string of releases including a split with Berlin noise punks Electric Masochist.

The unique sound, energy, and look of Deep Purple comes to life when Highway Star takes the stage. With seasoned musicians and a deep setlist, Highway Star recreate the excitement of Deep Purple's legendary live performances right down to the authentic instruments and stage clothes. The glowing Hammond organ, the Fender Strats, the wall of Marshall stacks - all serving up raucous renditions of classics like Smoke on the Water, Woman from Tokyo, Space Truckin', and Fireball.

Mivule (Vancouver, BC)

An Afro-reggae band blending reggae, Afrobeat, dub, and world music with lyrics in English, Luganda, and Swahili. Fronted by South Sudanese-Ugandan singer-songwriter Brian Baroda, Mivule takes its name from an East African teak tree that served as a gathering place for villagers to seek justice and resolve conflict. The band carries that same spirit of unity and peace into deep, groove-based sets built to move a room.

Brehdren (Vancouver, BC)

Formed in East Vancouver in 2010, Brehdren is an upbeat, theatrical ska and reggae outfit with four studio albums and hundreds of shows behind them, including sold-out runs at the Wise Hall and a stage shared with NYC ska legends The Slackers. Equal parts irreverent and tight, Brehdren is a band built to be seen live.

Phonosonics (Victoria, BC)

Victoria's premiere rocksteady and roots reggae outfit, Phonosonics specialize in an authentic, danceable take on 1960s and 70s Jamaican music. Led by Spencer Cleave, the band has shared stages with The Wailers and played Rifflandia and the Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival.

Her 2024 debut album Lady tackles social media, femininity, and the struggles of Gen Z head-on, and her recent single Hellhound cracked the top 10 in Spain and reached number six on Valley FM in Australia.

?NUMB?DAME? (Vancouver, BC)

A queer, DIY art-punk trio described as hardcore-pop, emo, and experimental. Conceptualized foremost as a live experience, ?NUMB?DAME? brings improvisation, social commentary, dance grooves, and very loud noise every time they play. Their debut LP give us ten million dollars to kill arms dealers dropped in June 2025 on Fanta Records.
