DEAD HEAT
"Process of Elimination", Dead Heat's first album for Metal Blade, sees the Oxnard, California-based band reaching a sonic and lyrical apex across 11 heavy tracks, produced by the band with Paul Fig (Deftones, Trivium, Jerry Cantrell). "Perpetual Punishment" opens the record with gentle guitar before kicking into aggro/hardcore mode. "We chose this song to start Process… because when it hits, it's hard, and has a great flow," states singer Chris Ramos. "Lyrically it's about not wasting your time in life because tomorrow simply isn't promised. It's a key theme I always try to portray in lyrical form, or even in random stage banter. I feel like it's what's keeps me going on every day."
"Process of Elimination" finds Dead Heat at the top of their powers. "Dead Heat has changed in so many ways since the start of this band, but we're the same beast, just a different animal. We have the same musical aspects but with different attitude towards the outcome which makes all the difference," concludes Ramos. "We unconsciously changed from a force on a roll into a well-oiled machine."

Johnny Manchild & The Poor Bastards (Oklahoma City, OK)
"There's a mad genius living in Oklahoma City who possesses the manic drive of a classical composer." Since 2016, Johnny Manchild has led an ever-evolving lineup in pursuit of conveying the noise in his head - a noise that gets louder every day and never sounds quite the same twice. Over the last decade he has amassed over 400,000 listeners, collaborated with Adrian Young of No Doubt and Todd Foreman of Sublime, performed alongside the Dresden Dolls, and independently assembled a 48-show six-week house show tour for over 3,000 attendees. Five albums deep with a new self-produced record Side Effects slated for 2026, he shows no signs of slowing down.
Friend of a Friend
Formed in the summer of 2020, Friend of a Friend have spent the years since touring relentlessly through Europe and North America, releasing three records in three years, and landing features in SPIN Magazine and Rolling Stone, who named them an artist to watch. Wonderland Magazine called them an indie rock band taking the scene by storm. The resume speaks for itself.
Karma and the Killjoys
Piano-rock that earns the name. Loud, key-smashing chords dueling with gritty electric guitar, powerful raw female voices, and a thick chorus of harmonies that somehow holds it all together. Karma and the Killjoys push the bounds of what piano-rock can mean with every song, both embracing and defying the genre.

Formed in 2022 by seven music school nerds in Louisville, Kentucky, DOOM GONG have spent three years building one of the most distinct sounds in the international psych scene. They call it Denim Psych - a genre of their own invention that pulls from psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, prog rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, and contemporary classical music, stitched together with blood, sweat, and a lot of denim. Three rock opera-esque LPs in three years, a live album, festival appearances at Treefort, Sled Island, Levitation, and Swampfest, and shared stages with Amyl and the Sniffers, The Black Angels, BADBADNOTGOOD, Allah Las, and King Buffalo among many others. They are currently on a European and UK tour and headed this way. The Gong rings on.

Quest Master (Sydney, AU)
Quest Master is fantasy synthesizer music from Sydney, Australia - burst onto the underground 'dungeon synth' scene with "Lost Songs of Distant Realms" [2017, Out of Season] - a two volume nostalgic soundtrack to a lost 90s JRPG crafted with classic digital tones from Yamaha and Casio keyboards.
These debut releases were followed up by the sister albums "The Twelve Castles" and "The Twelve Temples" [Out of Season, 2020/2021], again using classic 90s keyboard tones and an added focus on FM Synthesis, these albums draw heavily from the soundtracks of early N64 and PSX games.
The next chapter of Quest Master's evolution, titled "Sword & Circuitry" [2023, Out of Season / Urge Records], marked a significant departure from Lord Gordith's seminal back catalogue of RPG and classic video game inspired dungeon synth. Unlike their previous records, "S&C" is a gloriously lush and immensely ethereal affair, diving deep into 80's synthesiser music. These songs possess a magick that will surely grip you with soaring synthesizers and captivating melodies.
2025's "Obscure Power" [Out of Season] further builds upon the sonic blueprint of 'Sword and Circuitry', expanding the Quest Master universe by incorporating influences from 90's electronica. Blending the atmospherics and pulsing rhythms of that era with the signature Quest Master sound, the result is a richly textured and immersive soundscape that propels the listener deeper into the heart of the Quest Master's mystifying realm.

Fronted by South Sudanese-Ugandan singer-songwriter Brian Baroda, Mivule takes its name from an East African teak tree that served as a gathering place for villagers to seek justice and resolve conflict. The band carries that same spirit of unity and peace into deep, groove-based sets built to move a room.

Jordyn Rayne (Edmonton, AB)
Edmonton-based pop-punk singer-songwriter capturing the raw energy of early 2000s rock with a modern edge. Drawing on Avril Lavigne and Paramore, Jordyn brings shredding guitar solos, radio-ready melodies, and a message of female empowerment. Her 2024 debut album Lady tackles social media, femininity, and the struggles of Gen Z head-on, and her recent single Hellhound cracked the top 10 in Spain and reached number six on Valley FM in Australia.
?NUMB?DAME? (Vancouver, BC)
A queer, DIY art-punk trio described as hardcore-pop, emo, and experimental. Conceptualized foremost as a live experience, ?NUMB?DAME? brings improvisation, social commentary, dance grooves, and very loud noise every time they play. Their debut LP give us ten million dollars to kill arms dealers dropped in June 2025 on Fanta Records.

Blue Rivera is a multifaceted four piece alternative rock band from Vancouver BC. Founded in 2018 as a studio project by twin brothers and producers Julian and Joaquin Borderas, Blue Rivera grew into a formal rock band with the addition of younger brother Hector Borderas and drummer Stephen Coley. Their style ranges from indie/alternative rock performances such as Arctic Monkeys and Cage The Elephant to classic latin renditions like Pedro Infante and Alvaro Carrillo, even participating in the creation of sonic scores for local student short films. Their EP releases such as “c’est la vie”(2024) and “sleeping”(2025) have helped them find a spot in the Vancouver music scene. The Hausplants are an independent trio from ‘Vancouver’ Canada. Formed by Iran-born Amir Alav (guitar), Mongolia-born Sondor Mendbayar (drums/synth) and US-born Anna Zeleny (vocals/bass/synth). The Hausplants have independently released two EPs and have been featured in Pop Fantasia, The Georgia Straight, Side Line Magazine, and played on KEXP, NPR, CJSF, CKUA, CJSW and CiTR. In 2026 The Hausplants were recognized as one of “10 Vancouver music acts to watch in 2026” by the Vancouver Sun. They have played over 60 shows and festivals from Khatsalano, Unreal City, Chilliwack Mural Festival, Pleasant Day Festival, and Vancouver Fringe Festival to opening stages for Lena Lovich, Besnard Lakes, and Yuuf. As of 2026, The Hausplants are writing and preparing their debut LP and releasing a deluxe version of Into Equilibrium in spring 2026.

Hoaxed is a female dark rock trio out of Portland, Oregon. In 2022, they unveiled their captivating debut full-length album, Two Shadows on Relapse Records (press selects: CNN, Decibel, and Metal Hammer UK). Their new album, Death Knocks (Relapse Records), brings a strong, evolved presence that further pushes the lore of Hoaxed and promises to continue the tradition of engaging live performances. Past tours include a run with a high-profile U.S. tour opening for Amorphis and Uada, followed by a Pacific NW tour with High on Fire, and North American tour with Wolves in the Throne Room and Blackbraid.
